Zeke’s Island is another N.C. State coastal preservation area that lies in the lower Cape Fear River a short boat ride from Carolina Beach, NC! A small marine forest covers this island and hiking, swimming, birding, sunbathing are just a few of the activities available to you. It’s a great place for a family picnic also. A truly unique piece of land here in our river, it plays host to many birds and aquatic animals.
