A new Greek Restaurant! This is we a major hit the the fish lovers! Like me!🐠 Just announced! 🐠

Kipos Hellenic Cuisine opens Saturday, August 27th with Chef George Delidimos! 🎉

Legendary restaurateur Giorgios Bakatsias of Giorgios Hospitality Group announces the opening of GHG’s first Wilmington, NC restaurant – in Lumina Station at 1900 Eastwood Road (in the former 1900 Restaurant and Lounge space).

This extension of his wildly popular Kipos brand will be helmed by Greek Chef George Delidimos. 🎉A celebration of the food and culture of Bakatsias’ homeland, this new Kipos will feature an intentional focus on the sea. Kipos Hellenic Cuisine serves as an elevated counterpoint to Bakatsias’ beloved and more rustic Kipos Greek Taverna located in Chapel Hill, NC.

“We are really excited to bring our love for the coastal cooking of Greece to Wilmington,” explained Bakatsias, who learned to garden and cook with his mother in the quiet village of Karista, Greece. Giorgios Bakatsias immigrated to the US with his family when he was 12, and since the age of 23 has been sharing his love for Greek food with diners. Kipos will host an official Ribbon Cutting Thursday, August 25th at 11am, and officially open for dinner Saturday, August 27th at 5pm.

(Kipos will be open Tuesday-Thursday & Sundays from 5-10 and Fridays & Saturdays until 11pm. Kipos will be closed Mondays.) Reserve at OpenTable and follow @KiposCuisineWilmington 🎉
